Phones in schools need clear rules.
Mobile phones are a natural part of children's lives. During lessons, however, they can distract attention, disrupt focus and limit natural interaction between students.
Since January 2025, the use of mobile phones in Slovak primary schools has been regulated.Each school must choose its own way to bring the rules into everyday practice.
Pouchy offers a simple way to limit phone use without the school having to collect and store the phones every day.

Where do phones go during lessons?
Schools today manage phones in different ways. Phones may stay in school bags, be handed to the teacher, stored together, or kept in individual lockers.
Each of these approaches comes with a trade-off — between control over phone use, device safety, required space and extra organisation for the school.

How Pouchy works

Insert the phone
At the start of the school day, the student puts their phone into their own Pouchy pouch.
Lock it and keep it
The pouch locks on its own — no extra device needed. The phone stays with the student throughout the school day, but can't be used.
Tap to unlock
To open the pouch, the student uses the centrally placed unlocking device.

Where we are today
Pouchy is no longer just an idea.
We have a first prototype of the pouch and a working prototype of our own locking and unlocking mechanism.
We're now working on a professional prototype and preparing the product for its first testing in a real school environment.

Does Pouchy block the phone signal?
No. We're developing Pouchy so the phone stays connected to the mobile network. The pouch physically limits use of the phone, not its signal.
Does the teacher have to lock each pouch?
No. The pouch is designed to lock on its own, without the central device.
How is Pouchy opened?
Opening requires the central unlocking device, which can be placed at a designated spot in the school.
Does the phone stay with the student during the day?
Yes. The phone stays in the student's own Pouchy, for example in their school bag.
Can Pouchy be ordered yet?
